Bigger Teams and Better Site

We have two big announcements today.

First, if you haven’t visited LayerVault.com today, you should. We’ve redesigned the public facing site. Much has changed, but the most notable is our new “Customer Stories” undertaking.

We hope to turn Customer Stories into a place where we can put the spotlight on some of our customers, dig into more of what they do, and talk about their process. We’re starting with stories from Julius Tarng, Andrew Cornett, and Rusty Meadows. Expect to see us having some fun with this stuff in the future.

As you might expect, the new site also has plenty of small delights and a few easter eggs.

Our second announcement is about teams. As of today, we’ve removed limits on team sizes. Until now, teams larger than 8 people needed hand-holding to create accounts. It was unnecessarily inconvenient for our customers, especially ones with very large teams or ones that grew past our largest plan’s limits.

We’ve also removed limits on the number of projects you can create. Unlimited projects—enough said.

Scaling your organization happens within the drag-and-drop Organization Manager. GIve it a try. You’ll quickly see that it’s a dead simple way to manage people and projects.

LayerVault’s pricing has been greatly simplified as well. We’ve done away with the tiered plans and gone with just one, simple plan. New customers will be billed at $24 per person per month. Existing customers won’t see any change to their billing.

We hope you enjoy the new site and the new billing. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
